WORLD SERIES OF FIGHTING SIGNS TOP BANTAMWEIGHT PROSPECT CHRIS BEAL
January 8, 2013
Los Angeles, CA – Royal Sports MGMT announced today that a multi-fight agreement with World Series of Fighting has been reached for the services of its top ranked Bantamweight prospect “The Real Deal” Chris Beal (7-0). Beal has been on a rampage over the last year going 5-0 since returning from a life changing bout with cancer. Beal now becomes the newest addition to World Series of Fighting which currently has the fastest growing roster in mixed martial arts (MMA). After making a splash in the MMA world last November with an inaugural event featuring some of the biggest names in MMA the startup promotion has been on a signing spree leading into 2013.
The newest addition to the roster, Chris Beal, is the latest standout from Knuckleheads Gym in Ventura California, famous for fostering elite talent such as Victor Ortiz and Joseph Henle. Beal is a former wrestler loaded with speed and athleticism who has been transformed into a dynamic striker under the tutelage of Joseph “Hoss” Janik. Since signing with Royal Sports MGMT last August, Beal’s notoriety has been on the rise.
“I didn’t want to waste any time getting him out there,” said Bryce Armendariz, President, Royal Sports MGMT. “There was simply no need to do so. Some guys can come in to this sport and be a champion in 7 fights… Chris is one of those guys. Believe me, there isn’t a fighter in California at 135 who doesn’t know who Chris is, now it’s time to put him in marquee fights so he can show the public what he is capable of. By the end of 2013 everyone will know who Chris Beal is.”
Chris Beal’s life story is one that is sure to inspire MMA fans around the world. He is the ultimate comeback story. Just two bouts into his career Beal was diagnosed with cancer. After almost a two year battle which would undoubtedly mark the end of most fighters’ professional aspirations he was able to overcome the horrible disease and make his return to the ring in August 2011.
Since that time he has become one of the fastest rising stars in MMA as result of his dismantling of competition over the following 13 months. His resume includes a win over Xtreme Couture standout Jimmy Jones whose only other defeat came in a hard fought match with Sergio Pettis. Chris Beal now stands poised to make a statement on World Series of Fighting next card to be announced shortly.
